tonight i had perhaps the best conversation i've ever had with my mom.
it feels like all the things she's always told me about life are finally coming to pass.
probably because i'm finally doing what she told me to.
she got to hear that i'm happy. for all the right reasons this time, even in it's silliest simplicity.
many great things and happenings were discussed, but perhaps none meant so much to me as when she acknowledged her understanding of a one Stephen Colbert. and how much he means to me. such silliness to so many out there, much more to very few.
"There are people we have that get us through things in our lives. I know he makes you happy and gets you through yours."
that meant the world to me.

tonight my dad bought me a bag of marshmallows and told me all about Steve Carell's new movie coming out soon. sounds like nothing until you understand he had nothing else to go to the store for at such a late hour and he hates the fact that i love men who are older than he is. :)it feels like all the things she's always told me about life are finally coming to pass.

i'm crazy emotional so it wasn't difficult to lose it when i really made a note of how much my parents support me in the weirdest things. i really am the luckiest girl, my parents are my favorite people on this planet!
